EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT EDUCATION????

A state (Gujarat) which makes us feels proud about its vibrant developmental model. Shouting as of being worthy in front of world or branding more capital investment as a part of holistic development seems to have become habit this state. With political scene and through quick fix solution providing gives very rosy but gloomy picture about this state to me.
Feeling of strong annoyance was observed when students of central university of Gujarat saw news

Maruti Suzuki one of leading automobile company showed interest to invest about 1800 crores Rupees in state to setting up a manufacturing plant. State under a tag of development claimed that it’ll provide land and other incentives if this plant is established in Gujarat with a notion that this plant will generate employment opportunities in state. What a wonderful idea!!!!

This idea proved as failure to me when I read news stating that land chosen for setting up central university was given away for maruti Suzuki plant by state government in popular domestic newspaper (http://www.sandesh.com/sandesh_article.aspx?newsid=343693).

Simple logic was seems to be out of bound (to me) that; how state will be able to provide employment without generating educated (and even qualified) workforce?  And that too in private sector whose recruitment policies are out of reach of state.

Even this state (Gujarat) like other states doesn’t institutional mechanism to handle migration which can lead to series of rationalistic issues. Who’ll be responsible for taking urbanization issues which are going to emerge due this plant? Its seems to be sign of stupidity when someone repeats its mistakes again. State proved failure in terms TATA small car plant, whose product claimed to hit automobile market but getting worst of market even after providing land (acquired by farmers) and cheep loans.

Over and above media is creating rumor that central university of Gujarat is signing off from Gujarat by using word VIDAY (farewell) from state among innocent population. There can be many reason why state is not focusing on social aspect of development like Lack of long term vision need of planning, Neglecting higher educational systems ruled by political opposite ideology, Political interests like raising party fund. Or anything but it is clear that state don’t want focus or not able to focus on social development which can GENERATE wealth rather than ACQUIRE wealth.
