Facebook or Job in Facebook?

This week I got some time to spend with two of my closet buddies. It was real fun and I felt happier when one those said that he got call letter from TCS. While having pizzas and discussing useless things, something serious stuck to my mind which I would like share with you.

The social network, an amazing piece of storytelling is still on my nerves, I was really impressed my Mark Elliot Zuckerberg who is just 3 years elder to me and my friends, he is the youngest billionaire. A simple question raised in my mind was that why I and my friends are impressed by him and his work. The first intellectually lethargic answer I got was he made lots of money at young age with a wonderful concept called facebook.

We call ourselves leaders and we say that NASA, IBM, Google etc. works because of Indian brains. If we look this reality of virtual world we will find that we Indians are just EMPLOYEES of these metaphorical intellect establishments. We feel proud be exploited for the sake of currency. Zuckerberg didn’t created facebook for money nor he is running facebook for money also, he is giving his 50% income as charity. It really sense bad when we find that Indian developers are just applying logic rather than producing logic, logic here should not be mistaken as piece of code.

Why our IT work force is not able innovate or create things? One side we are talking about entrepreneurship but we forgot that are we becoming employees not entrepreneurs. Even after commencing a new IT firm we look for project and requirements why can’t we make a product and create requirements or demand in market like Google and facebook did ?. Supplying products where there is demand is old market strategy; new strategy is creating a demand for your products and then supplying it. Why did an Indian, sold his hotmail to Microsoft? He could have made another Microsoft through a single product. This is not only story of hotmail, many people has sold their ideas which they thought was useless and then allowed others to prove that we are dumb population.

Conservative atmosphere of Indian society is not allowing young crowd to think out of box. Imagine Zuckerberg scoring highest grades and then doing highly paid job at Microsoft. This is what happing with my brainy friends, they are made study hard, score high, highly paid job and earn thousands rupees when they can actually make millions of rupees. Education of child in Independent India is still not independent , here society decides what the student have to do , no student dares to violate norms of educational institutes or society with the fear of disparagement , for more details watch- 3 idiots ;)

Our entrepreneurs are focusing on market rather than concentrating on products and that’s why so called innovative ideas come from ‘there’ not from ‘here’. Innocent people of my country makes ‘them’ role model, starts celebrating their products... I don’t think that now any Indian can make other facebook because we are becoming USERS rather than DEVELOPERS.
