HACKTIVISTS, new militia to bring real democracy


Pentagon is worried about cyber attacks; Australian government is formulating new cyber defense strategies, every government of world now days are preparing defense mechanism under a fear of cyber wars or cyber attacks. On first looks its very simple newlines to understand but its inherent complexities needs more deep and technical thinking.

Last week, a group of hackers called LulzSec(Lulz Security) from China claimed that they successfully cracked security of Sony Corp. For world it's an ATTACK as they hacked information of more than 1 million customers of well known multinational company. US defense contractor Google Inc. is showed profound unease over such attacks and US government also took such invasion seriously. WHY SERIOUSLY?

LulzSec has just cracked non revenue generating website, it's not an act of hacking!!! Hacking is called when someone steals information from remote computing device for economical use. LulzSec published a statement "Why do you put faith in company which is not able secure simple information of their customer?" This clearly shows the intensions of this group is not to harm any information or customer community of Sony corp. but to show this world that what Sony corp. is claiming to its customers is not necessarily trustworthy or to show that their skills can be helpful in bringing global change.

If we look at April 2011 attacks over Sony entertainment, where a hackers group targeted revenue generating customer service website it’s a Hacking where anonymous hackers attempted to steal credit card information. Such groups don't reveal their identity over a particular information invasion. Their intense is to crack security for economical gain.

Coming to US China relation over such cyber attacks, majority of Internet population is geographically American and majority of big internet giants (e.g. Google) are also American or dominated by America. On other side China having communist ideology is trying to regulate these giants (Google, Facebook etc.) so called promoters of democracy.  The Great Chinese minds are against these regulations over Internet products so they try to break rules or breach security which is setup by American giants due to Chinese government regulations…..
Quite complex to understand these winds of change

DECODING THE GURU

As a student of sociology, brought up in Gujarati culture I always wondered about existence and influence of gurus, pir and babas. Some iconic personalities raised to level of divinity and worshiped as god is still an avenue of my quest. People like Ramdev Pir, Jalaram Bapa, Sai Baba, Sitaram Bapa, Bhathiji Maharaj, Swaminarayan, etc. appeared during colonial times and are today praised as god. Till date, people like Pandurang Athaval, Swami Chinmayanand, Dada Bhagwan, Shiv Baba, Stya Shree Sai Baba, Sadguru, Shree Shree Ravi Sankar, Osho, etc. are popular across country as a god’s men who are leading various sectarian cults based on Hindu doctrines. Multitasking, life killing strategy …

            I am a designer, a blogger, a research scholar, a friend, a son, a brother, aaaaaaa many things. Many things, many identities, many roles are being adopted (even assigned) by this entity called “I”. Every role has its own nature of demand. Performing these roles at its best is most challenging, most complex and most desirable thing.                       Today every human being is “burdened” with such roles and identities, to navigate between these roles and identities he has adopted strategy what we called multitasking. At single point of time we are doing so many things, for instance updating facebook status while sitting in class, writing assignments with listening music and what not. I feel height of multitasking when people take picture while kissing !!!  The first word which comes up in my mind after looking such snaps is undoubtedly F word….
